Product Description

Machine Overview

This floor decking machine is a continuous cold roll forming production line engineered to convert galvanized steel coil into structural trapezoidal floor deck panels — the permanent steel formwork used in composite concrete floor slab construction. Each panel carries wet concrete loads during the construction phase and bonds with the cured slab to act as tensile reinforcement, eliminating the need for timber shuttering and reducing overall structural steel by up to 30%. Designed for 24-hour continuous operation in high-volume decking manufacturing plants.

Competitive Advantages vs. Traditional Formwork

Factor Timber Formwork Steel Floor Decking
Installation Speed 8–12 man-hours per 100m² 2–3 man-hours per 100m²
Material Reuse 3–5 cycles then disposal Permanent — stays in slab as reinforcement
Fire Resistance Combustible, requires treatment Non-combustible, Class A fire rating
Span Capability Limited by timber joist sizing 3–6m unpropped span depending on gauge
Structural Contribution None — removed after curing Composite action reduces slab rebar by 20–30%
Waste on Site Cutting waste, stripping debris Zero formwork waste — panels cut to exact length
Weather Dependency Rain delays stripping and re-erection Installed in any weather, no curing dependency
